Hull Cleaning

Hull cleaning

Hull cleaning is an essential part of boat maintenance that involves the removal of marine growth, such as algae, barnacles, and other biofouling organisms, from the submerged surfaces of a vessel. Over time, these organisms accumulate on the hull, forming layers that can significantly impact the boat’s performance, longevity, and overall efficiency. Without regular hull cleaning, this marine buildup can cause a host of issues that affect not only the boat’s operational capabilities but also its long-term health. The most effective way to deal with this problem is with hull scraping. We perform our cleanings with a CaviBlaster 0520-G.

Hull Scraping/Barnacle Cleaning/Stain Removal

Barnacles will greatly reduce your speed and accuracy when at the helm. These crustaceans are roughly the size of a quarter, and they attach themselves to a host (ship) for life. The adhesive properties of the cement that they excrete are amazing. This small animal glues itself to a host with a compound so strong that it could hold the weight of a compact car (2,500 pounds)!

Our underwater team will carefully hand scrape your boat free of sea life to ensure the best performance, integrity of your craft and most importunately, piece of mind.

We also remove stains from hull surfaces!
